A turnkey air conditioning project to replace old chillers with the latest technology high efficiency machines. The project involved Acrol Air Conditioning’s design, production, installation and commissioning departments as well as their systems installation project management team. The old chillers were first stripped out and new steelwork, piping, electrics, controls and Climaveneta Class A Package air cooled units installed. The upgrade / production work took place at Acrol’s 42,000 square foot factory in Gateshead, Tyne and Wear before being transported to site and craned into place. These large units had to be installed and commissioned on the roof top of the new government multistorey building. Comprehensive long term warranty and maintenance packages were also negotiated and put in place for the client. As this work was to be carried out on a high profile government establishment full safety and works protocols were put in place and sustained throughout the duration of the project.
